 Who is CWAH? 
 
CWAH is a [volunteer based] 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission to provide evidence-based programs and services to enable low-to-moderate income families struggling with poverty to become more self-sufficient.
 
How long has CWAH been around?
CWAH has been empowering and serving the community since 1988.
 
Where are you located?
CWAH is located at 3963West Bell Place located between – N. Vandeventer Ave.
& Sarah Ave. (North/Southbound) and in between Enright Ave and Windsor Pl. (West & Eastbound)
 
When are you open?

We are open Monday – Thursday 8am-6pm. Closed on Fridays. 
 
What programs do you offer?     
                 
We offer various educational & developmental programs and workshops to both parents and youth, living in the city of St. Louis. Classes are free.  CWAH also offers various educational/developmental classes to youth (5th-12th grade). CWAH also offers various workshops through-out the year to families. What services do you offer?
                   
 
We offer low-to-moderate income families (who participate in the our programs or workshops and/or families that have been referred to CWAH); a scheduled visit to our food pantry, clothing boutique, or warehouse for household items (based on eligibility). Must be a St. Louis city resident. To learn about the referral process, please visit the services section on the website.
 
How do I become eligible to receive services?  

To become eligible to receive services you must consistently attend and participate in the programs/worskshops offered at CWAH- Family Support Center. Must be a St. Louis city resident.


Why does the fax machine sometimes come on when I call?

Our phone and fax are on the same line, so when the lines get crossed the fax machine may come on; just hang-up & call back if you get the fax machine.
 
Do you pick-up donations?
          
Yes, for large furniture and appliances.  

No, for small items and clothing.  You must call first to
schedule a pick-up date.  Pick-up dates & times are scheduled, based on our pick-up volunteer’s availability and schedule. Make sure the items are in great condition.


How can I donate clothing to your organization?


Please call first
. If you have some clothing (in good condition) to donate; please call CWAH first to set-up a time to drop off the clothing at CWAH.  We accept women's clothing, children's clothing, and clothing for teenagers (girls & boys).
 
 
How do I donate furniture or large appliances?
 
Please call first. You must call CWAH first to have your donated items picked-up by CWAH volunteers; your location and items to be donated will determine if CWAH can do a pick-up. If you wish to drop them off yourself, you still must call CWAH first, to schedule a day and time.
 
Can I just drop off donations without calling?
  
                                                   

No, please call first. There is no guarantee we will accept/receive your items. Please do not just drop off donations at center without calling first.
